Well, I couldn't wait until the end of the year, and came across a great deal on this '05 with 23k miles on it. I wasn't too crazy about the light seats, but I think they'll grow on me. (current daily driver was a silver '96 Z28 with black leather -- mildy modified)

Previous owner installed Corsa exhaust and a Volant CAI. It has a few of the typical issues I've been reading about on the forum like bad motor mounts, wheel hop, loose shifter, etc .... but all-in-all, what a great car! It'll be heading to the dealer on Monday for new motor mounts, a check of the tranni and rear mounts, shifter bushing, et all..

So your car has an Exhaust and CAI but no short shifter? Previous owner must have been all about that V soundtrack!!!

Does anyone know who makes that spoiler? i cant find it on the FAQ.

Thanks guys. Short shifter is definitely 1st on the list. This shifter is worse than the factory Z28 shifter, and that thing was horrible!

I thought the spoiler was a factory option? Is the spoiler on my car different than the one which is part of the standard CTS sport package?

What mods on your Z28?

Where do I start .... K&N, 1LE elbow, Ported intake, Ported heads, impala head gasket, SLP shory headers, Random Tech Y pipe with integrated cats, DMH electric cutout, factory catback. Chromoly pushrods, Scorpion 1.7 RR, CC918 beehive springs, Manley guideplates, LT4 valve covers, 1LE springs/shocks/struts, SLP subframe connectors, BMR lower control arms, Hurst short shifter, McCleod clutch, aluminum rear diff cover, custom tune, Hawk HPS pads, Eagle F1 GS-D3 tires, Manual fan switch, throttle body coolant bypass, TR-55 plugs, Accell wires, Taylor fire sleeves, and a few things I probably forgot.

It's for sale, in case you are interested? :suspense:

It was a really tough decision to get out of the Z and into a V, but the more I drive it, the more I realize I made a good choice  Besides, with our 2nd child due Jan 3rd, I'll have to give in to having a carseat in my car and the Z just isn't setup for that.

Wow thats quite a bit of mods! How did you like the McCleod clutch? I assume you meant Slave Cylinder? I'm hoping to switch to a RAM or McLeod Slave soon...

Hey Thomas...how about driving a few hundred miles to come to the DFW V meet? You know you want to put some miles on your V and check out a bunch of other Vs. :stirpot:

The slave and master cylinders are factory. I have an SLP flywheel, a McCleod disk (800 series) (http://www.mcleodind.com/downloads/prod_guide_PDFs/Page_4.pdf) and an SLP pressure plate. I had the SLP disc for a while, but a downshift to 3rd at 60mph grenaded it. The McCleod has been great! A buddy of mine has the same disc in his '97 SS with a built motor making over 500hp, and there's no slipping.

Thanks, I'd love to, but unfortunately won't be able to make it. My wife and I play in our Church band, and I'll be playing guitar that day. I'm thinking a road course day out at Texas World Speedway (http://www.texasworldspeedway.com/)would be nice though
