I think Pol Pot is still alive. Wait...nope. He is infact dead. I checked Wikipedia. 93DevilleUSMC 10-10-08, 11:54 PM Jesda, Hillary Clinton is alive and well. You want a socialist dictator, vote for her. PatrickHMS 10-13-08, 12:01 AM You can diss and flame F-150's all you want, we have an '06 SRX, and an '06 F-150. I like both of them very much for what they do. We just got home from a business trip from here in the Atlanta area to Nashville Tennessee and back. After deciding which of the two vehicles is better on a trip with the following criteria, which one - - is roomier and more comfortable - rides and drives smoother - carries more stufff - and gets better gas mileage... We drove the F-150 on the trip and left the SRX at home. FYI - also saw name brands of unleaded gas for as low as $2.98.9 I~LUV~Caddys8792 10-13-08, 07:58 PM I like certain generations of F-150 a lot. The 05+ & the 1992-96. IMO, the 1992-96 F-150, and 1992-97 F-250/350 are the quintessential American full size pick up trucks. They have a great, masculine, clean cut exterior design, a logical, simple interior that's still shows the work truck roots, and yet still has most of the necessary conveniences, classic torquey OHV powerplants, etc etc. It's probably my favorite pickup truck of all time. PatrickHMS 10-13-08, 09:20 PM Those are the exact year models I would have also chosen as my favorites. I had a 1997 F-150 4.6 that I got 247,000 miles out of before I sold it. Never had a major problem with it, just regular maintanance, brakes, fluids and and one timing chain - all within normal for that kind of mileage. Got to a point where new engine and tranny was just a matter of time, wanted someone else to put $4,500 into a truck that would still only be worth $2,500 afterwards. I LOVE this '06 4.6 I have now. It is an "STX" with rubber floor mats and cloth seats which I need for my business, but still has tilt, cruise, and power everything that I need. And it gets better gas mileage than my 2006 SRX V6 AWD. | |
