for those who have driven these cars.....how is the performance of them? i know they dont make too much more hp/tq over the 307 that used to be in them.

i have a 5.7 tbi, trans and rear that i wanted to swap in for my 307. just wondering if it is really worth it.

It's a BIG difference. Driveability is improved, throttle responce is improved, the acceleration is *much* punchier, especially at low speeds. In other words, the 307 Brougham does 0-60 in the 13-14 second range. The TBI 350 Brougham does it in the low 9 second range.

nice just what i wanted to hear. i was hoping between the increase in power and the better trans it should make a big difference. the 200r4 is just way to soft and weak for me.

Do it! Owning both, I can assure you the 350 is much quicker than the 307. It changes the car.

BIG difference between the 140HP 307 and the L05 5.7. Much better driveability, better acceleration, and... better gas mileage, too:thumbsup:

I have to agree, I owned two 5.0 liter (305 TBI) Broughams before this '91 I bought with the 5.7 liter TBI.... what a difference! The torque really makes a difference.

Hell yeah Elias! But even the L03 305 is a big step up from the 307!

I can vouch for that! I went from a 307 to a 305, and it was like night and day. It just felt more modern too. And the 350 is worlds away from the 305.

My 350 TBI feels fairly quick, its really torquey but runs out of breath real quick. You hardly ever have to push the pedal down more than halfway. It'll get up to 100mph pretty quick and cruise there all day long with no problems.

awesome. better start prepping the new drivetrain then!
