This is a weird problem. Sometimes I have to push down the ebrake 2 or 3 times to get the car to stay still on an incline. Any idea if this is a common problem and whats the fix?

Oh yea, I have an 05 V.

unlike older cars our park brake doesn't adjust itself...there's a write up in the faq I think.

My park brake hasn't worked properly since the day I picked her up, and I wasn't about to drop the $400 that Cadillac quoted to fix it. Luckily LV is pretty flat...

I have the same problem. Why wasn't it covered under warranty?

Mine was covered by warranty. It was just a simple adjustment according to the tech.

mine was junk when I bought the car w/28K miles... made a loud popping noise on the way down and would barely hold even at the floor. I can't imagine how anoyne could own the car in a place with steep hills. West TN is fairly flat so I don't need it often...
Dealer replaced the whole assembly under (factory) warranty. I am under the extended now and it isn't covered but technically still is, as anything repaired under warranty has a 12 month parts and labor guarantee that supercedes any warranty status. Im not sure if the replacement included the pads in the rear or not- I didn't ask. But, it felt awesome in the beginning, getting very tight only half way down or so. I am now having to push further to get a good "grab" but not to the floor, yet.....
