: Where is the PCM

Can anyone tell me where the PCM is located, I have a P1860 code and I want to clean the PCM contacts first, before I go to expense of replacing the torque convertor solenoid.

What kind of car ? Not being flip: It makes a big difference. Click on your username and update your profile with your car, model, engine, mileage.......

In most Cadillacs there are no PCM "contacts": the connector bodies are watertight and gold plated, and the 2 multipin connectors are bolted on. You use the acronym "PCM", so that indicates a later 90's - '00 year group car. Don't get creative with electronic cleaners or you might be in the no-win situation of replacing an expensive piece of electronic equipment.

oops, sorry it's a 2000 Deville with 92,000 miles. I read on here about the P1860 code poping up (torque convertor solenoid) and to check the electrical connectors, etc. A grey wire at the PCM. Well I do not know where the PCM is.

It's under the air filter.
