Where is the Xm tuner located? Do I need the

-XM to SIRIUS Dual Input Antenna Adapter
or
-XM to SIRIUS Single Input Antenna Adapter

Thanks!

what antenna do you have?

The XM Receiver is on the drivers side in the trunk behind the trim panel attached to the reinforcement panel. You can see the two bolts holding it in going through the reinforcement panel.

OEM sharkfin xm antenna. I'm going to go take a look now. I plan to remove the xm tuner and replace it with a pioneer sirius tuner, retaining the oem antenna. Main reason for this is that I hate the sirius micro dot antennas. I went through 4 of them in my grand cherokee (no pinching).

Shark fin? It's kinda vague seeing as GM has used no fewer than 5 different antennas over the years.. Some have 2 leads, some have one. Depends on which one it is.

btw I looked and it's a dual antenna tuner, so I ordered "XM to SIRIUS Dual Input Antenna Adapter" I will let you guys know how it works out.

McCloudz,

Just wondering if this ever worked. I have an '05 with an aftermarket radio, amplifier bypass. I would like to add Satellite Radio, but want to use the OEM antenna instead of the magnet mount.
