: Oil drain plug location

Hi everyone, pround new owner of an '05 STS w/36k miles here. I've located where the filter is, just need to know where the drain plug is. I've read the thread about the location for the CTS is but it looks different from the STS. Could some one please provide some info as to the whereabouts of the plug? Driver or passenger side? Pics would be nice.

I think I might have located it on the drivers side right behind the wheel but would like to make sure, see the CTS thread says it is on the passenger side for them, so I am not sure. Are the engines the same for both the CTS and STS?

Looking forward to learning alot from the forum.

If you have the North* v-8 it's on the driver's side of the oil pan at the front of the pan, it doesn't look like an oil plug but it is.

The picture was helpful! Untorquing the Jiffy Lube tightened drain plug is another story. A 15/16" socket and a 3" extension is needed to easily remove the oil filter cap.
