Has anyone noticed their transmission banging into 2nd gear around 15-20mph? Hell, one time I almost got into an accident making a right turn in the snow it shifted really hard and I lost all traction in the front end and jumped over an entire lane. It seems to only do this after it's warmed up.. It's very bothersome and it's one of those things that makes me afraid they won't be able to 'duplicate' the problem haha. Just wondering if this is common and if it could be related to programming or if it sounds more mechanical. Another question, do you think they usually are more apt to help you when you use the dealer you purchased the car from? I've been stressing about taking it in ever since I got it but I've got to do something about this soon.

I have noticed that shift to be pretty clunky as compared to the two Park Aves and three Olds 98s that I drove previous to my 2006 DTS. The DTS has done this since new. I also am noticing the suspension getting somewhat more clunky over rough pavement and only has 19K miles on it.

My DTS Performance has a sharp 1-2 upshift, not during hard accel but during gentle acceleration. It is much less noticeable if I put in mid-grade gas instead of premium. Not sure why. Guess as Einstein said, everything's related.... (Another strange thing is I get better gas mileage with mid-grade than with premium. Just the opposite of what happened with my 300C. But that's another topic.....)
