Hey guys, been awhile. Hope all is well on the forums, i miss it .

I have a couple questions. I dont know if anyone remembers my Glacier Blue '88 that i intended on using for body parts, that sat at my old apartment. Well, yeah, shes my daily driver now. Has 153k on her. Spent $550 on a complete brake overhaul, including new hard lines and hoses throughout. She looks damn good now that ive really cleaned her up too.

The reason she became my daily driver was because i basically drove the '85 into the ground, by delivering Chinese food with her. Ouch. I had a '96 Lumina with 76k on it, that i paid $1,386 for, but it was cramping my style and i new there was profit to be had. I sold it on Ebay for $2,100. Anyhoo, my Sage Sled took a dump on me, as far as cooling issues (no, not a head gasket), so i knew i had to either put another band aid on her or get the '88 up and running. I figured the '88 had more potential as a daily driver than my '85. I had a new starter, new battery and complete brake overhaul done and its been running and driving great. Though i must say, the HT4100 can and will SMOKE that 305. I thought i knew what gutless was. Wrong. My '85 could get up and go(lol) when it wanted, the 305 just does a whole lot of nothing(i cant wait for the responses...).

Ive been slowly dismantling the '85. She has no front at all ahead of the fenders. No trim or chrome anywhere, and the vinyl top is gone(rust city). It still runs and drives, and has cold AC, but shes officially out of commision and has started the very long restoration process. I'll be sure to post some pics. She looks ROUGH. But im dedicated to making her beautiful again. So i'll be sure to involve you guys every step of the way.

That brings me to my '88. Shes doing well so far, but there are some things i need to fix/give attention to. None of the interior lights or door locks work. The lighter does, and so does the radio. I assume a fuse. I still have to check on that. Second, i think it has the all-too-common TCC solenoid issue. Ehh. Maybe not even worth the trouble... My main concern however, is the AC. The blower and compressor turn on, but no cold. The compressor is very noisy too. What could this be? Do you think it just needs refrigerant? Or something more serious? I really dont want to get the shaft by the rabid wolves that are AC repair places.

So yeah. It took a long time to say a little, but i just wanted to give you guys an update. Other than that, everything else in my life is going great. Had the most incredible 21st birthday anyone could have :bouncy:. Have a good job, and i nice house with a 2-car garage! Yay!

Any advice is appreciated.

Yeah sounds like it's time to do a pressure check on the A/C system. If it's low on refrigerant and making noises that can't be good for the compressor.

Actually, the '88 is a 307, the 305 didn't come around til '91.
