I might be looking at a 2005 CTS V with 44k miles tonight. I posted the VIN up for a check in the VIN check thread.

Beyond that... I also searched for a buyer checklist. Common problems list, things to take a good look at. Nothing came up, maybe I don't word my search right.

Any list out there, or what are your recommendations everyone?

Thanks
Brian

Don't forget the large bank roll you're gonna need to pay for track days and all the other fun stuff you'll want to do to it once you're done not talking yourself out of buying it.

All the rubber parts, motor mounts, diff bushing, craddle bushings are soft.
Otherwise the car is pretty solid. You get wheelhop, but that can be helped. The diff might whine or brake, if you abuse it. You wont blow a motor or tranny.
It's like piching up the hottes chick at the club. You'll really enjoy her, and have to deal with some of her bitching.
Just remember, its a Hot Rod.

#1 the lumbar support in passanger seat.

#2 overflow tank

Mine had #2 done by the previous owner and I had to replace the radiator the first week I had her. When you drive it do some high RPM runs and then check the radiator when you get to the dealership. Look on the top for standing fluid.

"Campaigns?" That's "recalls" in Japanese. :thepan:

My ex jumped into the car one day (all 105lbs of her) and broke the airbag module. Nothing to worry about.
