Looks like one was spotted at the Woodward Dream Cruise.

That could easily be a CTS with body kit...

That's the same body kit, hood and yellow calipers as the SEMA car had. I believe that car was a one-off, so they probably tricked it out in Police livery for the cruise, or made a second one for PR.

I bet I could make it look pretty silly. Sillier than it already does for a Police Car.

Hopefully that's something they take around to public events to gain attention.

You may outrun the car...but you'll never outrun Motorola, no matter how fast you are. Nuff said.

Although an individual's chances are not good, being able to get away from the police and their radios is not unprecedented. If they don't have your plate and/or no helo to eye you from the sky, it makes it much more possible. Especially outside of large city areas. There was a case here locally about 6 months back where a guy in a stolen Corvette evaded three different departments in one night. Several videos on the net and Youtube of police evasion.

Aside from the obvious difference, I think that the 3.6 vice the V on the trunk is a dead give away.

:pYou think an STS-V can outrun an '09 CTS-V when it can't even take an earlier model? Now you're just being silly...

My home town of Sioux City, Iowa has a Z06 Vette Police Car.
Confiscated during a Felony Arrest and conviction.
In view of the fact that Radio Communication can outrun everything, I will pull over.
No guts? No glory! The glory being a series of traffic violations resulting in my V being added to the Police Vehicle inventory.

Hmmm with all the hurting local budgets and deficits in all the towns in the USA, It sure would make since to spend so much on a police car when the other more practical cars are a ton cheaper......

As for the cars being kept from traffic violations like racing ect.. I was told here that if you own your car outright, then you are danger of that happening, but if a bank or someone has a lean on the title, then they cant take it from you.

So when you own it, just get a lean on the title from a friend maybe???

Hahah....however....spike strips not only "pop" the tires....they also shred them as well. Good luck turning or accelerating w/flapping runflat rubber falling off the rims.....
