Just bought my first Cadillac. 87 Brougham, de elegance, My question is concerning the hood ornament. Mine leans toward the rear of car, I pulled it and it looks like thing is made to lean, bottom where it sits on hood is angled. Is this correct or has someone replaced the origal with on from a car with a sloped front end. If this is the case has someone got one for sale or know where I can order the right one? Thanks, many more questions to come.

That is not the correct ornament. I should stand straight up. I think you are correct with your evaluation that it is from a different application.

As for replacement with the correct one... there are tons of them on ebay, or you could go to our resident Cadillac parts king: 1990CaddyBrougham. He'll have a nice one for you. I'll email him to tell him to message you. I don't think you can PM him since you are new...)

Yep, should be standing straight up. Worst case, you might be able to modify the the one you have further to stand up straight. (With some drimmel cutting...)
