Hello fellow V owners,
I have a 2005 V with about 23k on it. The problem is when I make a tight radius left turn I get a grinding noise coming from the left rear. Anyone have any ideas on what this might be? Thanks in advance for the help.

only when you turn? could be a wheel bearing. hopefully not a rear end going out.

Thanks for the reply odla. Yes, only when I make a tight turn to the left at low speed.

Has a dealer flushed the diff and not added the friction modifier?

Probably the rear differential grinding. If it's bad enough, the dealer should replace it under warranty. I've had two replaced on my '04;the dealer failed to use the additive on the second one, but number three is doing well after over 30,000 miles.

I would say diff too. If it was a wheel bearing it would be a constant noise. Once they go, you'll know it.

x 2 on what big jim said....your clutch packs in your diff are grinding. change out your diff fluid, and put the friction modifier in FIRST. OR, use RedLine or Amsoil fluid which will have the modifier in it already.
