I am looking at a 1968 Cad Convt. that is for sale. It is in good shape other than the power windows and top are not working. I figure these accessories draw too much power for a standard fuse and probably use a circuit breaker. Anyone have any experience with this problem? Thanks

You are correct. They are on a circuit breaker on the fuse box. It pulls down from behind the driver's side dash. Try removing the breaker and re installing. Good luck. Post some pics if you get it!
Thanks for the info. I am going back to look at it again tomorrow and will try your suggestion. I see you have a 68 cdv convt. The car I am looking at has spent it's entire life in southern CA. While rust is not an issue, except of course behind the front wheels, is there anywhere else I should pay close attention to. I have attached a recent pic of my 68 cdv. Will post pic of the convt. if I decide to get it. Thanks again

Didn't see your post until today, so you've probably already been out to check it again. Front fender rust is common, as well as behind the rear wheels and in the dog legs behind the doors. As with any convertible, check the floors and trunk pans. I've recently seen replacement pans on ebay. Previously, I couldn't find them for the 65-70 cadillacs, so that's a good thing if you need them.
Interested to hear how it turned out!
