Step two: Sell the Nissan Armada - "almost there...."

Step three: Find a nice CTS to haul clients around in: "Soon!"

Hi All,

Just saying hello from sunny Scottsdale, AZ. I'll be looking for a used CTS '04-'xx. Something under $17.5k and preferably under 50k miles (or cert. pre-owned). Don't need a "V", just one in good shape.

Already done a ton of reading on this site and I'm glad I stumbled here before making a purchase.

Finally dumped my Lexus LX450 (great truck, but sucky mileage and no need for an ~extra~ vehicle...) and am excited (and admittedly a bit nervous) to move from trucks/SUVs all my life to an actual CAR.

Anyway, seems like there's a million CTS's to choose from so it's a matter of finding the right one w/in reasonable distance to Arizona.

On to more reading.... :D

Welcome, I own a Lexus and an Armada in addition to my wife's SRX. Funny

Those older Lexus trucks were awesome. Welcome to the forum.

Best of luck!

You can rediscover handling now!
Every truck I've ever driven has felt far too vague when hitting a curve on a highway off-ramp...

Thanks all - yep, I drive a million miles a year :gah: (real estate) so having something getting better than 15 mpgs on the freeway will be great.

Welcome aboard, AZJohn! Thank you for signing up! Don't feel bad about getting rid of that Lexus. They "used" to be great. But quality has suffered the past few years. The CTS is an excellent vehicle. You're really going to enjoy it. Keep us posted and let us know when it finds it's way into your driveway. :)

yep, I'll miss the Lexus - fun to drive (see attached).

A guy in my office has a new black '08 (non-V) and it's pretty darn sweet, but I don't need to buy brand spankin' new (and rack up the miles from day 1).

I'll be poppin' in from time to time and hopefully not asking the stupid, redundant, redundant questions. ;)

Due to the lack of rear seat legroom in a CTS, I'd recommend an 06 or later SRX for hauling clients. (04 & 05 SRX have wiiiiide doorsills) The back seat (forget the optional 3rd row for grownups) is higher than the front, has great legroom, and big doors for easy entry. I used to have an 04 CTS and my passengers greatly prefer my current SRX or Lincoln MKZ.

Yeah, my parents have a silver SRX (very nice) and am considering that as well, but thinking I ~really~ like the looks of the CTS better... (I know, I know, "looks vs. functionality"....) If I came across an SRX that I couldn't pass up, I'd consider it. Time will tell. :)

On that note, time to get my @$$ to work!

I would consider an SRX just because there are some available for GREAT deals right now, you can find them right in that price range, mileage that you are talking about.

Hi, welcome to board.

I own a 2006 STS. It is a bit roomier than the CTS. But, both are great cars. You will love whatever you get.

Good luck with the hunt.

Again, welcome to the Cadillac family.

I strongly suggest that you buy Cadillac Certified Pre-Owned with the 6/yr. 100K warranty.
