A sound clip would be nice.

And when you copy a link from from photobucket in the IMG coded box you don't have to use the 'insert image' option on here. Just copy and paste straight to the reply box.

There was a guy up at Quality Motorsports last month, i think his name was Jeff? Anyway, he had the same setup and i was very very surprised at how it sounded. Wasnt bad at all. I think he had an X-pipe in place of the resonator though

My Friend Rob Vextascy has the same set up, I called him redneck too, then when I heard it in person I was stunned how good it sounds.

On a side note...I'm getting dyno'd at LG this week. Hoping for 355-360. With my dyno luck I will be at 345 :banghead:

I am very glad that I did it. I really like the sound. I did hear one of my other buddies V with a B&B and man that sounded great but for the 100 bucks I spent I can put the 1200 saved to something else.

I did the same 2 weeks ago, except I used the Magnaflow x-pipe in place of the resonator. WOW, it made my V more throaty. Sounds good around town and when your on it, but I do get a bit of resonance at 65-75mph.

I've heard a V with this setup in person, and I wish it was before I dumped $1,000 on a Corsa- seriously. As lame as it sounds, a plain old redneck muffler delete on the CTS-V sounds great.

Does that set up drone much at cruise?? Is the pipe and replacement tips stainless?? Where did you get the pieces??

That set up looks and sounds like the perfect compliment to the red neck rear cradle washer mod I already have installed!

yes yes where did u get those tips? I have been looking for an option to put large tips on stock exhaust but no luck. These look too long but if I could have the muffs cut and moved forward it could work. I know, why not buy a new exhaust...dont ask me that plz.
Im one of the few guys that wants my V quieter in the cabin for cruising, and windows down when I want the sweet sound. . I have a mustang with cut cats and magnaflows already if I want a screamer...

Thought about going this route and adding in the xpipe. Curious on the performance aspect as well. I guess a tune would be in order to correct any back pressure problems.

I figure before I go the $600+ route I will try this too.

Are you in Tennessee? I live in Nashville. I'm thinking of doing the same thing to my 05. I got a price for the magnaflow system with X pipe for 750.

Hopefully you got to 360. Seems pretty do-able. Bet it's nice to have that engine light finally off too!

Do a search out here,
There is a coupon from hot exhaust. I edned up paying 638 shipped, i think. And installation was a breeze.

it really doesnt drone at all. its still very quiet in the cabin at highway speeds. the pipe is stainless and the tips are chrome plated. both came from my local muffler shop who cut/bent/welded it all up.. oh yea they are 4 inch tips that were for my nissan titan but i never got around to using them

they came from my local muffler shop.. i think they were $20 each and they do make them shorter.. i just wanted mine to stick out past the bumper about a 1/4 inch
