In October 2006 I purchased a new Cadillac DTS with every option except the auto cruise control. The car currently has 27,000 miles on it with the warranty scheduled to expire In October 2009.

For the last nine months I've had a recurring problem with the SERVICE TIRE MONITORING SYSTEM where it will not read the tire pressure or an incorrect reading. Sometimes it will read three of the four tires. Sometimes I get an incorrect tire reading, like 58 lbs!

I've had it t the dealer 10 times for the same problem in eight months. At times the car is fine for a few days or weeks, but the problem reoccurs. The dealer has replaced the senors, remounted the tires, cleaned the wheels, replaced the electronic module, etc. Although the dealer has been great, I don't think they know how to fix the car.

I've contacted Cadillac, and am disappointed with their assistance. They keep instructning me to return it to the dealership for evaluation. They return and it works for a short period and here we go again!

This is 9th new Cadillac in a row and I love Cadillacs, but I'm seriously considering purchasing a Lexus. Is anyone else having the same problem? Would appreciate any suggestions...I'm very frustrated!

Sorry to hear about all of your trouble.
Where are you located?
Is there another dealer close to you?
If so... you may want to try them.

I had a problem on my first 2006 DTS.

Back in the spring of 2006.
I think they replaced the module in the door.... "IF" I remember right.

No trouble with it after that.

On the other 2006 DTS... stupid Discount Tire company, broke one of the sensors when I had a flat fixed. Dealer replaced it under warranty.

You need to try another dealer. Most people with this problem found that one or more of the wheel sensors were defective. I have a 2007 DTS and no problems o ant kind. Doug-J
