Hi everyone,

I am trying to understand something about rear window molding.
My car, 1976 Calais sedan, has rear window molding partly white painted (and ruined), like vinyl roof. Practically the larger part of the molding is painted instead the narrower one, which is the one closer to the window, is chrome. I have been looking for some pics to see if the painted part was original or painted by someone in the past, but could not find, either on brochures or pics, some information about it.
So, should the molding be all chrome or, like in my car, the chrome should be just the narrow part close to the window?
Hope I could be more clear but my english..........
Thanks in advance and, maybe, a pic would be very appreciated!

It's probably factory. On the FW coupes (80-85), there is a molding that separates the vinyl roof from the top. Half of that molding is painted.
