What's up fellas? Well down here in the Mississippi heat I'm suffering. My AC fan started sounding like it was straining recently and now when I turn the AC on nothing comes out of the vents. It trys to come on but its dead. Where is the blower motor located? Is this a dealer only item, because Advance Auto doesn't carry them. Thanks!!

It is really easy to change. Look above the passenger's feet. There is a black panel with clips to drop. Then, you will see the bottom of the blower. A few nuts to take out, then one connection. Advance "should" carry them, everyone else has them...

Thanks Jay! I just found one for $30 on Autozone.com. I'm tackling this tommorrow as soon as I get off work.

Last one I did, I had to cut the connector off the dead one and splice it onto the new (universal) one. Also, it had a few less blades, so it didn't blow as hard. Better than none, though!
I replaced the blower in my 93 Caprice a year ago. It wasn't dead but was squeaking. Anyway, I went with a Napa blower thinking it'd be better than Autozone. I think it was the same. Seimens brand. Connector had to be spliced, and the gasket doesn't fit flush with the blower box, making an air leaking noise at full speed (not too bad but there), plus it doesn't blow as hard. If I had to do it again, I'd get an AC Delco from Rockauto.com. Twice as much but think about it - they last like 15 years or more.

Ok, I got the black cover off, under the dash. Do I have to remove the square box to get to the blower? I don't see it.

Should be three bolts. 7mm, I think. One really up close to the firewall you may have to use a flex on.

I got it. Didn't have to splice connector and it works fine! Appreciate it!!
