General Motors has canceled the long-awaited replacement for the DTS. To be named the DT7, it was to replace both the DTS and the STS. In recent weeks the vehicle's design was said to be close to finalized. Yet with growing financial pressures, GM is reported to have decided not to invest in the engineering, testing and tooling that are required to bring this vehicle to market. As a result the future of the DTS and its replacement remain unclear at this time.
