So I've noticed lately that I don't get the Hi cooling fan speed anymore for my a.c. operation. I used to get it all the time but now the only time the HI speed comes on is when the temp reaches 232 which is an easy feat when you're sitting in traffic with the ac on and its 102 outside. I'm confused as to where to start looking. Im not sure what tells the cooling fans to go to HI when the ac is on. I also would think that I should get some kinda trouble code for this! Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Have you pulled the codes?
Have you checked the relays?

Ranger I did switch out the relays with a friends, still the same. But I noticed that when I unplugged the freon temp sensor that I got HI fans. Im assuming its prob lieing to the ACC controller but of course to change means a total evacuation of the system :( I think I'll leave the hi temp sensor unplugged for now!
Low or high side temp sensor?

hi side. Lowside temp sensor unplugged shuts off the compressor.

Well it would appear that the default setting for no hi side temp reading is to run the fans on HI which works great for me cause the car not only stays at 205 but the air blows much colder! I'm guessing that i prob need a new sensor for what ever reason.
