This is the Ebay item below, it pre cut and covers all important areas.

Anyone used this?

Wondering how hard it is to install.

Total bitch to install, best left to the experts. I prefer Venture Tape but they were just bought by 3M so it's a matter of time before that is moot.

I agree. I tend to think I'm quite handy and a small job of clear bra that I tried almost put me in a padded cell.

Just about the only "mod" I was reluctant to tackle myself.

The install video they offer (free) convinced me to let a pro do it.

I have the 3M one and left it to a professional.
Venture shield is more pliable and wraps around the hood rather than trying to line up the edges. 3M is probably the better product by I would buy Venture if I wanted to do myself.

Have had it with both Vs and let a Pro install it both times.

Does anyone have a close up picture, to see how noticable it is?

people don't notice it until they are really close and then they think it is a scratch.
The only time it's really noticable is when there is wax build up on the line. or corners where there are stress lines.

The line for mine is above the headlights:

Bigron's hood is covered better much better than mine which only covers four or five inches from the chrome piece ... his covers about 16 inches or so.

Also, mine is very noticeable because the Zaino builds up at the edge. It could be minimized by cleaning it I suppose (I've heard you can use rubbing alcohol), but it doesn't bother me really.

Sorry, no pics available.

If you look closely, you can see it.

But I'd rather have people notice that than the 50 or so rock chips I would've gotten over the past 4 years...

Don't have it, should have, will do so on my next new car as front bumper of car is only part of my V that shows its four years.
Unless you are damn good and have tons of patience, this should only be done by a pro, as if you mess it up, there is no recourse/refund/mercy.

Have spnet countless hours using touch-up paint for mesh grills but there is no cure for the bumper issues other than repaint.

BTW, very impressive that a clear bra is available for the 2008 CTS-V???
