Need a time-sert kit. Is anyone selling their used one?
Or does anyone know where one can be rented?
I live in Pittsburgh, PA.
Oh well, I can't wait any more.
I guess I'm spending the $350 for the kit.

Kevin, I just saw your post. I live near Monroeville and own a kit. Call me at my shop at 412-372-3372. Jim Locke:)
I just ordered one 2nd day air from Engine Tech. Ouch!
The timing just fits perfect with this whole project.

I am interested in a kit. please email me as I am on the road on vacation. I am curious how long are the tools in your kit. I have a 4.9L that stripped out 2 head bolts when I changed the head gaskets and at the time I could only get a few helicoils and Bbobynski warned me (alas I checked this forum too late) to use only timeserts. Having fixed my Caddy in a chicken coop/shed in Coffee Springs ALabama I feel that maybe I ought to look for more Caddys to fix when I get back home at the end of this trip.
Presently I fix automatic trannies for ranchers on location. But I have thought many times recently about starting a shop now that I am once again strong enough to work.
The helicoil tools I used were 8 inches long and that is why I ask about yours. I would welcome an email firstname.lastname@example.org
