Having an occassional problem with the park assist on our 2007 DTS. Sometimes it works fine and then other times it will start flashing and beeping at intersections or traffic lights. Then other times it won't turn on, and I can't turn it on through the DIC ! Tried cleaning the sensors, even had one replaced.
Anyone else having these types of problems? Is it the nature of the beast to be tempermental? It never shows up for the service guys...only when I need it most.
Other than that "I love this car'.

There is a problem with yours. It should NOT act like that.

When it is acting up... call OnStar and have them run diagnostics RIGHT THEN and tell you what codes it is getting. The codes may be clearing themselves between the time it acts up on you and the time you take it in to the dealer.

The only time I have had mine act up, was when one of the front sensors went out.
It gave me a warning on the DIC to have it serviced.

I was heading home from vacation at the time.

Pushed the OnStar button and the nice lady ran diagnostics on it, then called my Dealer and made me an appointment to take it in.

Took it in... they replaced one front sensor. No problems since then. I really like that feature.
That was over a year ago.
