I'm looking to replace my evaporator, which I allready have in order, as well as the filter/drier/acumulator and expansion valve. Along with these I was told to buy a POA/STV (suction throttling valve) because it gets damaged or something when the system gets opened. This makes no sence to me, but then I'm not an A/C technitian... I understand the part about the filter, and also the expansion valve, but not the poa/stv one.
Besides not understanding why to replace if it's currently not damaged, I haven't even been able to find one on the net.
does anyone have a place on the net where I could possibly get this? I contacted USAPARTSSUPPLY.COM but they want $150 fo one, but I saw it on another site for $45 (but out of stock and not re-stocking).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can't answer your question Catman, but I have to ask,how do you like that dirt cheap gas down there? I have a 70 CDV in the back yard, and the only reason it sits is the big jing it takes to run it.You need your own oil well to feed those monsters up here nowadays.:crying2: Good luck in your search.
