I had some spare time today so I pulled of my tail lights and smoked them. I didnt want to go too dark, because I dont feel like getting pulled over everyday. So I did a light smoke on them. I taped off the clear reverse light section to give it a clean factory look. I also put on my custom 3rd brake light today. A friend of mine makes them so he made me one to promote his work. Here is some pics I took after I put the truck back together.

Nite Shades? I never heard of it. My tail lights are painted a light coat of black with clear coat over them. My lights are perfect, they look like they came that way, no imperfections at all. The paint is smooth.

The grille is grillecraft..Hands down the best out there. They are 600 from grillecraft but you can find them on ebay here and there for a really good deal. Everyone loves the grille. Way better quality than E&G. This grille is not flimsy mesh... For those of you on the forum who have it also would agree that its worth every penny.

The top head unit is a Pioneer Z3. It has a built in hard drive. Its a great unit. On the bottom is a Pioneer D3. This is a awesome unit as well. I have evry Pioneer option/Interface that can be bought.

I have 4 extra sets of fog light lenses that I am going to smoke black. Anyone who would like a set let me know. My work is amazing. I am going to put my HID Zenons in the fog lights hopefully this weekend. ill post pics afterwards.

The 3rd brake light is killer! I don't like the tinted brake lights anymore though. I used to have them on 2 previous trucks and I almost got rear ended several times because the poor bastards behind me couldn't see my brake lights, especially during daytime. I would hate even more if my Escalade got rear ended because I wanted the lights to look cool.

Thats why I did a light tint. You can see the lights when there on and its bright when the brake lights are on. I dont like when the tail lights are blacked out. They look blood red instead of bright red or dark black. You have to know how to paint to come out with a properly painted tail light. Many painters spray too much black. When doing it right you do a light even coat, then some clear. I used Dupont paint for the lights. These were done in a real paint booth at our shop.

Have a local vinyl sign company cut out your wording in vinyl masking. Remove your 3rd brake light and apply it or have them apply it. Spray it with black Krylon Fusion paint that bonds to plastic. After it is dry remove the masking.
