I am not so grateful for the socialistic engineer who decided that I was too dumb to know when to turn the head lights on. Any one know how to disable this intrusive, annoying and unnecessary message?

The automatic lights on has been a trademark of Cad.

I remember it back in the 50's.

I think it was called the Twilight Sentinel or something like that.

Its for the better...If you dont put your seatbelt on it msgs you to do so...Its for your safety and the safety of others...

Plus in canada it is manditory for your headlights to be on so the person approachin you knows if he/she is lookin at the front or the rear of the car...Its a silly rule, but it has saved lives for some people cant make the judgement call...

Also FYI when makin a left turn at a signal you are not allowed to have the wheels turn in the same direction for if someone were to hit you from behind it would put you in the way of the on comin traffic.

Its all about safety and liabilities...If the msg was not to appear the manufacturer would be liable in court to pay...Like the Hot coffee incident at Mc Donalds that happened in the 90s...Remember that, seven million for spillin hot coffee on her lap....ITS COFFEE its gonna be HOT LADY...

My car has never given me the "Don't turn left with your left signal on." If it ever did I don't think I would obey.

You must have some bizzaro world anti-nascar V.

Do you just take 3 rights each time you have your left signal on? That is the craziest thing I've ever heard.

Your posts always make people laugh, but I'm often not sure if it's with you. WTF FTW!? :cookoo:

Oh yeah, just hit OK on the light thing.

I just leave my headlights on auto and don't worry about it. I don't mind the car deciding for me. If I could have an fully automatic seatbelt, a radio that always picked the songs I was in the mood for and knew when to turn itself off, a sensor that knew when I want the windows down or up without me having to touch any buttons, and an straw that came out of the roof with a nice cold beverage whenever I was thirsty, then I'd take all that in a second. All I care to work are the pedals, shifter and steering wheel.
