: no spark

hi everyone i have a1993 sts car normally runs great (200,000)mi the other day it just quit no warning of any kind i have no new codes nothing refering to any spark problems i have fuel pressure. but no spark! i was told it was probly the crank sensor, these are very hard to get to does anybody have any idea's thanks stratt.

'93's where not known for bad CKP sensors. 2000- early '03's where and usually can be restarted when they failed. Your problem could be any of several things. Maybe the ICM. You'll need a FSM to run down the trouble tree to test it.

thanks for your help i had the ckp's on order when i saw your post. i put them in tonight sill no spark? so wat is a fsm your talking about? thank again stratt.

Factory Service Manual.

Not a Chiltons, or any other aftermarket manual.

Best in my opinion is the physical, printed HELM manual. Look for them used on e-bay all the time
