We love our new DTS but really miss the wood treatment we had on a
2002 Seville more than I thought we would.

Is it possible to get wood inlaid replacements for the steering wheel and shift knob from GM or from some aftermarket supplier?

Any help appreciated.

Best regards.......

The shift knob replacement with wood should be easy. I would THINK that the wood shift knob from a LUX lll or a Performance Sedan would interchange.

The steering wheel is a whole 'nuther ball game. I think you would probably have to replace the entire steering wheel... I don't see how you could put wood inserts in the leather wheel you have now.

The airbag is in the steering wheel but maybe it could be changed into the new wood steering wheel. That part I don't know about.

Thanks. I found a website for a company that offers replacements but I think
your suggestion is probably best-just get a wooden shift knob from the dealer; couldn't(shouldn't) cost an arm and leg.

On the steering wheel I would probably be getting into major money. Maybe I'll just look for a faux wood steering wheel cover.

Big time tacky.....:+)

You might check around for a salvage yard in your area.

The wood knob from an '06, 07 or 08 should work and SHOULD be a lot less money than the dealer.

I would also check the dealer price just to know if I was getting a good deal from the salvage yard.
