i cannot seem to get it to come on.
it doesnt come on automatically, with the lights on, or with the interior lamps turned on.
any special tricks or is the bulb burned out?

Im not sure if this is the case with the XLR but, but on one of my cars the underhood light only comes on when it is dark out, I think it works off of the same sensor as your automatic headlights.


Just a thought

Mine comes on as soon as I begin raising the hood, day or night.

finally found it. the cord that goes down to the frame was not plugged in.

it was that simple!
