: Baker's South of Milford at Noon on July 6th
07-04-08, 12:00 PM
I get out of church at a little after 11 am. I'll go straight there (about 20 minutes) and have my soon-to-be first grader with me. Sorry, but I've got to leave at about 2-2:15 pm to get my son to a birthday party; that's long enough to meet and see the many cars that'll be there.
Mbiker97 can't be there on the 13th, so this works out better for him, PLUS the weather should be ideal Sunday ... about 84 deg and sunny. Bring a lawn chair.
So, who can make it? Mbiker97, Bigron, MescalVto, JD03Cobra, Swampfox (who NEVER comes on here anymore :nono:), Ryan's05V (who's got a 5.3 L Grand Prix now :nono:), ronr (who's a lot closer now), GMBound, Commander112, SlothV, and ROG (he's from Toledo, but we'll let that pass ;)) ... is anybody able to make it?

My car is still in the shop getting warranty work done, and something else came up so I'm out. However I may just show up for a bit. Plans are still kinda hazy.
Is there a car show there? I might show up.

Is there a car show there? I might show up.Just about every Sunday beginning in the morning, hundreds of guys show up with their classics, their hot rods, their street rods, their hemi Mopars, their Vettes, their Cobras, their you-name-it. Of course, many are for sale if you're so inclined (what isn't for sale these days besides your wife and your kids?).
Since it's approaching Dream Cruise time, the weather's gonna be picture perfect, and it's a holiday weekend, I would expect the place to be really hoppin' tomorrow. Bring lawn chair and maybe a cooler. Be ready to walk around a bit, 'cause you'll want to see the other guys brought.
What color is your car?
Its black / beige interior. I also have smoked fogs/sidemarkers and a rear spoiler.
Noon is a little early for me I sleep in and go to the 11am service.
I will see whats going on after church. Put me down for a no right now. It's 8:45 pm, do you think Randy is still up to read this?
I am going to try and make it !!

... It's 8:45 pm, do you think Randy is still up to read this? Just got back from a Dairy Queen run with the wife, our son, and two neighborhood kids. Gettin' ready to go to bed. Us old coots need our sleep, don't cha know.
Let's see ... put my teeth in the jar, gently place my hairpiece on the bedpost, take a half of a Viagra tablet so I don't pee on my feet ...

Well, at least MescalVto and his son made it!
Hopefully, he'll post up later today and attest to the cars there.

All true, way more cool cars than I had expected; kinda like the big lot at 13 & woodward right before dreamcruise . . . they claim it is the biggest free car show in the country. Burgers from their grill were great too. Things were really just getting rolling between 2 & 3; when I left at about 3:15 more cars were still streaming in from Milford road . . . would like to go back later next time, maybe stay for dinner:thumbsup:

Rand49er - Where exactly is Bakers? I was up north for the holiday...I'm still trying to recover.

From the south, it's 2.2 miles north of I-96 on the east side of Milford Rd across from Kensington Metro Park's east entrance.
From the north, it's roughly 1.5 miles south of General Motors Blvd or ~2.5 miles south of Commerce Rd.
Had several people come by me car and talk to me about it. One guy had a Mallet shirt on and owned an LS2-equipped Saturn Sky with Mallet emblems ... said it weighed ~3100 lbs. He wanted to know who did my install. Told him I did, next to my lawnmower. So many cars there ... so-o many cars ... Just wish there had been more than just the two of us.
Sorry I didn't get out of lunch till like 2
Maybe next time
