About 2 weeks ago I bought my 2nd ever Caddy. My new 98 Deville is a one owner car with 37k miles. The carfax shows it to be a one owner car, and it really appears to have been well kept. Service records indicate that regular service has been performed (except cooling system - which I will be doing myself). In its life, the records I was given indicate it has been in for repairs 3 times for minor things. But the headgaskets have not been touched. It runs 100%, so I will keep my fingers crossed that the HG's last a while.

It is my 2nd car, so it won't be a daily driver. More of a weekend cruiser/toy. The only mods I plan are to tint the windows.

My other Caddy was a 98 Eldo which I bought in 2000 and sold in 2003. Great car, but the A/C was always weak. 4 trips to 2 different dealers could not find anything wrong...which led to my selling it.

Below are some pics.

It looks clean 37,000 low miles. It must have been a retired persons car. I have 98 Deville with 80,000 miles on my car and it doesn't leak a drop , how much are the 1998 Devilles selling for now?

Around here they are selling for from $2500 (with 150K+ miles) to $10k (dealers-low miles). In fact there was one on AutoTrader for a 98 with 21k miles that ta dealer wanted almost $12k for!!! I bought mine for a little over half that price...

Welcome to the forums and I hope you stick around a while.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for that car? Its a d'Elegance (or possible Concours) too because of the badge on the grill.

$6,800 and no it is not a d'Elegance or Concours. However, the original window stickers from the dealer included the dealer add on sticker which was over $3,600 for the carriage top, chrome accents, gold package, extra wood trim pieces inside, the wheels, etc... Was there a DTS package in 98? It is mentioned on the stickers... Anyway, the sticker with add-ons was over $41k...

Oh and the emblem on the grille is the heritage badge...
