Find someone who is keeping their phone anyway and get them to renew their contract with the iphone. Then you buy the iphone from them.

I think you're talking about the hiPhone. I hear it's very nice. I've seen a few youtube videos on it as well.. Looks great.. I might be selling mine for $200.00... It's the 8gig version...

Are you already with AT&T? Unless they've changed things with the new iPhone (which as far as I know - they haven't), AT&T has a special arrangement with the iPhone where you get a new contract upon purchase. When I got mine, I had several months left on my contract and they simply started me with a new two-year contract upon activation.

Who knows... they could have changed things, but I'd definitely check with them first because there's a better than likely chance that your current contract means diddly and you'll be able to get the iPhone for advertised price.

they cant renew the contract for the iphones if you still have an existing one :\
