Here's some pictures from the XLR Rendezvous III in Bowling Green that give a better idea of how the refreshed front & rear on the 2009 XLR look.

Did you happen to get any pics of the interior?
My only design issue is that GM needs to get rid of the grey plastic rear bezel. Make them bodycolored or better yet, retool the trunklid to hold the reverse lights (they've fixed this on every other Cadillac model, so why not their premium roadster/flagship?). Besides that, I still love the look of the car and the refreshening only makes it better in my opinion. :)
I also really like the 2009 base model's front grill (noticed you hadn't posted a pic of it):

There's not much new to see on the interior:
The wood is a little darker, they changed the window switches from the rocker type to the new "pull up" style and the gauge cluster has the same font as the Corvette now (yay!). The one inside shot I have was pretty dark, so I segmented the cluster and tweaked the settings so you can see it better.
New grill is very shiny. :D

Did I see the dash is leather now?

I really like this update/refresh. Too many people complain that it looks bad - especially the side-vent. I like it all. The interior could be better - but it's okay as is..

Yeah, it's much better. The old ones were kinda boring..
This is how I fixed that problem.. (bad pic of the car, but it shows the exhaust good)

Local dealer has a bunch of '09s hiding behind the main building, so I snuck around last Sunday to check 'em out. The one thing that really struck me was how much better the car looks when it has chrome wheels to match the new vertical side vent. A couple of the cars had matte finish wheels, which looked oddly incompatible with the shiny finish of the vent.
