You won't believe the latest Road & Track. They did a feature on the most fun cars on the least fuel. Used a complex formula involving skid pad numbers, 0-60 times, and, of course, mileage. Lots of hot roadsters made the list but what came out on top was none other than the Chevy Cobalt SS!

Good mileage of course, but not the best of the bunch. For a car listing in the low $20Ks it does 0-60 in 5.5 sec, skid pad .92g, and get this, was the BEST in the slalom.

Jim Hall said, "Calling it one of the best-handling front-wheel-drive cars ever doesn't do it justice - its one of the best-handling cars, period."

Yes, perhaps, but WHAT ABOUT CLASS?!!! :want::mad::rant2:

I think their article was pretty accurate. Of course, I have a 2008 Corvette, so I'm good to go with their ratings:thumbsup:

Speaking of Vetts, check the Motor Trend review of the Cobalt: CLICKY (http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/coupes/112_0803_2008_chevrolet_cobalt_ss_first_drive/index.html)

I wonder if I could talk my wife into driving one?

^That game rocks. I came so close to beating it, but the damn computer kept freezing.

I have never particularly liked the Cobalt SS, and even with addition of Turbocharging I still don't. I've driven one before, and I don't think it handles any better than my Seville. However, the new version might be an improvement.

I don't like that spoiler; needs to be at least 3 feet high or it just isn't worth having on there. And it needs racing stripes, for speed, of course..... :ill:
What an ugly vehicle.

Having a fast cobalt is the same as having a fast cavalier, only cobalt sounds cooler than cavalier.
