Hi,
As a 2001 DTS owner, I've been lurking here for a while and have learned alot from you guys, and thought it might be time to give something back.
Being an EE, I got really miffed when the FCC discontinued analog service and Onstar refused to update my unit for a newer digital one. I've been waiting for someone to come up with a way to use the onstar equipment, (buttons and microphone) to work with bluetooth cell phones.
It looks like there are some good solutions for the newer vehicles, but guys like me who have the older style cars are left out in the lurch. I love my car and even though it has 130K miles, I'm not ready to give it up for a new one.
I've integrated my XM radio into the lighter tray, and I've got an IPOD interface connected to the CD changer port, so all thats left is an integrated bluetooth car kit.
Well, since it wasn't being addressed, I decided to try and tackle it myself.
It took longer than expected, but it works!

Now, if I could only figure out a way to get another 100hp...
