Last weekend in Fontana I was lucky enough to be able to ride in the 2009 CTS-V. I did a write up and included the incar video, a burnout, and some drivebys and posted it all here:

Enjoy!

You lucky bastard!!! Thanks. I hear nothing but good things about that Andy Pilgrim. I hear he is a real nice guy(that finishes first).

Andy was a total class act both times I spoke with him at Sebring (2005 and 2006). Great driver, great guy. He also got a real kick out of my business cards, which have a picture of his #8 car taking a corner on them. :D

You really like to switch around your cars every now and then, huh?

Understatement!! :)

Had the 911 Turbo for a year and made the mistake of driving the new M. Was an ez decision to dump the P after driving it..

I even drove a Carrera S and it simply doesn't compare to the new M3.

andy is a class act... I think everyone who was there in Fontana will agree. He a great guy who can also drive!

I heard of a fall production date (early) and I imagine pricing late summer or 1 month before shipment (no reason to talk pricing too soon 'cause you cant take it back once you do)...

I am really excited about this car.

ctsvett, you are a lucky guy, great report and great videos.

I love my STS V but I might give away my XLR for the 09 CTS V.

I have one question, do you know the two back ground songs from the first video "In Car Camera", if you do please let me know.

Thank you

Harry

Took one out today for a spin on the road. We have a regular 2008 CTS DI AWD.

I can't believe the power the 09' CTS-V has!!! It was insanely fast! going 25 mph, i floored it, squealed the tired, and was up at 60 before i could blink my eyes! Your head just gets sucked back to the head rest no matter what speed your doing.

Amazing car!

Keep in mind, this was not just any car, this was THE car that lapped the Nuremburg ring at 7:59 piloted by John Heinricy.

Very well written article, but the track in Germany is called the Nurburgring....

Nuremburg was where the Nazis were prosecuted. Common mistake.
