Hi ,
My 96 seville just the last day or 2 started overheating.
Checked the coolant its full.Coolant was recently changed About a year ago also.
Just now changed the thermostat.Drove around the block and it started overheating again.
Checked for leaks do not see it leaking anywhere!
Every time i start the car my check coolant level light is on but coolant is full.
Do you think my water pump is shot?
Or what else can i look for?

What means over heating? Check purge line. Bad sensor will give false check coolant level. Search search search over heating issues here and NorthStar Performance and Tech forum. K_C

We'll my temp gage was to the right and my coolant temp got to 255.
The fans kicked in but didn't seem to help.

Check the purge line. If you've just had the system open for the thermo change it could be air locked. K_C

The purge line purges air from the system. Do a search for purge line. It has been discussed many times.

I'm looking into my crystal ball....................................screw the purge line, its head gaskets. Torture yourself and spend more money hoping its something else only to find its the inevitable. Good luck to you.
