I had a bump in my 04 ESV and was getting the Stability control message. Today I went to the dealer and they told me the front bearings were very loose. Left upper and lower ball joints are loose. Right front inner tie rod end is loose and boot is torn. They quoted 1708 for parts and 1162 for labour total with tax 3330$. I found parts cheaper from part source and on ebay but wondered if it is difficult to change this myself.
Any help would be great some instruction how to change these parts.

Thanks for any help.

I believe that at least one of those parts needs to be pressed out using a special tool. How many miles on your truck? Do you have stock wheels? Stock height?

I have 130k and standard wheels i guess.
Thanks

I could see yopu needing front end parts at that many miles, you may want to get another price from someone else, it seems on the high side.

If anyone can help. I have new bearings on the way to start with. Are they easy to install.
If anyone could let me know the procedure

Thanks

This is not a job for a back yard mechanic. Go to a local garage and get a price. That job should run you 2000.00 max.
