I just recently ordered $800 in parts from roackauto. Two of them were brake rotors, one of which Fed-Ex lost. When I asked Rockauto to send me a new one in the mean time, I told them I needed it by Friday. The one that made it got here on Wednesday, which is when the other one should have been here. I explained to them that my car was in dire need of a brake job, and relatively unsafe on the road (the right outside pad was down to the backing plate, talk about getting your money's worth..haha). So anyway, I asked them if they could ship it out to me next day, especially considering it should have been there Wednesday plus all the money I just spent with them. They said they would try and get it there to me the next day, to which I said thanks. I called back 3 hours later, only to find that they decided to ship me the new one ground delivery, which would get here next Tuesday or so. I then proceeded to reem the guy on the phone a new a**hole for f'n up my whole situation. I explained to him that the right thing to do (regardless of the fact that FED-Ex lost the damn rotor) was to ship it out next day so I could at least finish my work. He apologized, and noted that he basically couldn't do anything for me.....which was apparent from the start, I just need to vent.

All in all, I ended up just buying one from the dealer for about 30 bucks more. When this one gets to me I'm gonna ship it back to them, and they damn well better refund my money AND shipping costs.

Just a heads up, while they may ship quickly, and have good prices.....making good on a situation like this doesn't seem to be their number one priority.

Thanks for posting the discount number. After 150K my wife's '96 Bonneville is finally due for rear brake shoes. Only saved me $1.38, but I'll take whatever I can get. Thanks again.
