So last night I am jamming out and my radar detector was turned down. Needless to say the cop got me doing 78 in a 60. I told him I didn't even know how fast I was going. He was really nice and I think he would have let me go had it not been on a stretch of road they are cracking down on. I just can't get another ticket in the next year or I will be in trouble. I will be utilizing the cruise control from now on.

What kind of idiot needs a damn gussied-up clock to tell them they are going too fast?

The kind of idiot that can't pay attention to a speedometer.
I hate the flashing signs on the side of the road telling me how fast Im going. I already have one of those silly devices in my car that I ignore. I dont need a BIGGER one on the shoulder of the road.
I do like the fact that my Passport has a yellow flasher on the actual plug that I can catch out of my peripheral against the black background of the dash if the windows are down or the radio is way up.

From your statement are you saying you got a ticket or you are in danger of getting a ticket because of your speeding habits?

Dwight, does your car have digital or analog gauges, I can' remember? With the digital gauges on both my cars I find it very hard to speed. For some reason it makes you much more aware of your speed, especially at night with that nice green glow in your face.
The Seville has analogue gauges along with a digital speed reading right in the middle.
My car has the notorious shake at high speeds anyways, not too fun to drive fast sometimes.

I hate to beat a dead and very obvious point here, but driving at kegal speeds would have prevented most of your tickets.

I agree but it's so damn hard with the Northstar STS. I just cruise and don't realize I am speeding.

I'd be a lot easier if you had a Mercury.

I was just taking an opportunity to rip on Mercury, with the joke being that they are incapable of useful speed.
Matter of fact, dwight, you wanna avoid tickets? Buy that Cimmaron.
