View Full Version : TRAFFIC: Know before you go submariner409 06-17-08, 08:59 AM If you're a frequent traveler or just want to know how your commute will be, take a look at www.traffic.com (http://www.traffic.com) and enter your area of interest. You can click and drag the road maps anywhere you want to go, and they are highlighted with icons for slow and backed up traffic, trees down, power outages, road work, accidents, festivals, anything that affects traffic flow.
Handy bookmark reference. thebigjimsho 06-18-08, 01:25 AM I clicked Boston and I like the little trophy symbol for the game. How appropriate!!!:cloud9: dwight.j.carter 06-18-08, 09:29 PM My city is not listed :( chubbyranger 06-19-08, 08:02 AM I've used this site before, combined with my buddy, a cellphone and a broadband connection its as good as OnStar. Saved me from more than one Big Dig debacle. Nice site. My local tv and radio stations have traffic, but their sites are cluttered and slow. I~LUV~Caddys8792 06-19-08, 03:47 PM Oh yeah, well In my new Acura TSX, I've got a feature that shows current traffic in my area, on my navigation screen.
So...HA! submariner409 06-19-08, 04:00 PM :sneaky: Was it free ?? And I have the same thing on my 10 month old 2008 CTS (this is a Cadillac forum). It actually works quite well, and will route you around traffic problems. I~LUV~Caddys8792 06-19-08, 05:50 PM It's funny, you guys thought I was serious. :p
Chad have no Acura. :) Never. dwight.j.carter 06-19-08, 06:01 PM Have you driven a TSX I have and thought it drove pretty nice. I would be impressed if you got one Chad. dirt_cheap_fleetwood 06-19-08, 08:13 PM There is no way around the traffic in Chicago, so why even bother dropping $2k on some fancy traffic avoidance do-wacky. I~LUV~Caddys8792 06-19-08, 08:20 PM Have you driven a TSX I have and thought it drove pretty nice. I would be impressed if you got one Chad.
No, I never drove one, but I'm always mildly impressed when I sit in one in a show. I guess if I was in the market for a four cylinder sports sedan, it would be the TSX. The TSX originally came to the US with a crap interior, but its gotten better. I'm an NSX kind of guy. I~LUV~Caddys8792 06-19-08, 09:58 PM I no likey Acura cake...if I'm gonna go Japanese, it's gonna be a V-8 powered rear driver...Q45/LS400. dwight.j.carter 06-19-08, 10:52 PM What about the Hyundai Genesis Chad it has your name all over it. :D tman2093 06-20-08, 11:46 AM I see traffic in my rearview. Where it belongs. | |
