I am getting a HID fog light conversion kit and wanted to know what I should go with for the closest match to the stock HID's. I know the stocks are 4300K but will 4300K aftermarket fogs match close enough? Anyone have pics of stock HID's w/ 4300K fogs and/or 6000K fogs? thanks!

I have 4300K HID fog lamps. They are not a perfect match but close. I think the only way to get a match is to change the headlight bulbs. I do know DLE did this and his ride looks great.

I will post some pix of mine tonight so you can see, I bought my kit at www.pilothid.com

I also have 4300K on my fogs. They are close but they do the trick.

At the time I did my 03' I only had 5000k bulbs, I used them and they matched pretty close, stock is 4300k.

Only way to match them 100% is by changing out the headlight hid bulb AND foglight bulbs to match. Otherwise, if you just get foglight bulbs, it'll come close to the headlights, but not an exact match.

Since we are talking about foglight conversions:
1) What kit does it take from pilothid?

2) Does anyone know of a way to keep the foglights on without having to remember hitting the button each time? In other words they would come on when you light do.

1) Its the 880 kit

2) I usually remember to hit the button each time, and its nice to know I can turn it off if I want to as well.

I used parts I had at the time, but with how many hours I spent I would have purchased them, but that was 5-6 years ago and there just were not that many companies selling them.

So to have perfectly matching HId's all i would have to do is buy the 880 kit and a couple replacement bulbs for $370? Sounds pretty good. and i could choose any color i want right?

Problem, need help. I don't see the D1S/R/C replacement bulbs listed on the pilothid site. They have D2's but thats not the right ones. And thanks I saw the 880 conversion kit. I also looked on the sharp site but can't find either one over there. I want to buy a matching set from a single supplier to make the color match perfectly

Wierd. I'd give them a call on their website! They are pretty helpful!

Here's a pic of the stock 4300K vs 8000K.
