I was wondering how difficult would it be to replace the muffler on my 85 Fleetwood Brougham myself. I ran over a curb by accident and my muffler got banged badly. I don't get off work till 530 and all the shops round here close at 5 and are not open on weekends.

You could if you have the right tools, if it is clamped on it may be pretty rusty and hard to get off, if its been replaced before it might be welded on and you might have to cut it off, either way it sucks I would let a shop do it in the morning.

most likely the clamp bolts will have to be torched off if its not welded to the pipes
