My local Cadillac dealer can only make me an ignition key. The parts guy said the door / trunk key was Allante-only and is no longer available. He suggested I try a locksmith or Home Depot. As I walked through the showroom, Scott Pratt said someone on the forum has them available. Allantesource? I'd like to find an original blank with the light, if possible. If not, anything that works so I have more than one.

There's been at least 3 sets of blank keys on EBAY this last week. Years ago, A locksmith was able to locate a blank for my 88 doors and trunk. Waited a week for it to show up and then had 2 extras made. I believe the key is Italian origin.

The dealer parts dept suggested Home Depot. Home Depot suggested an old-fashioned local hardware store. The hardware store suggested a local locksmith. Since the locksmith only had limited daytime hours, I called. They got the blanks in within a day. It took them a number of tries and three people to get the door key duplicated so it worked. (Glad I had the car with me.) Total cost for two door keys: $4.77.

When my '92 arrived I went to the local key guy, in a 10ft x 10ft cubicle, next to Vons and he made a whole set of keys .. I think $18 for the whole set including the VATS ...
