: lowering kit with 17"

so i just ordered my mcghauys 2/3 drop today with spindles and it says have to modify to run favtory rims. i know it was something about griding down a bolt but i cant remember what it is that you have to modify. can anyone tell me?

This pic I attached have 26s on. But if you lower your truck and want to put the stock 17s on for winter (like I do), you will have to shave down the bolt with a grinder. VERY easy to do! Just take the wheel off and grind it..

What I did after lowering is put the stock 17" rim on and see where it rubs. You WILL see it! Then use a grinder and shave the bolt until you see clearance, and you will be good to go!

Here is the pic. The light blue color is where the bolt is at! Hope that helps.

I dunno. Found the pic online. I love the look of that drop tho. Looks like air suspension maybe. Looks hella good!!!!
