: Window Motor & Regulator

Are they easy to replace? How expensive? Anyone got part numbers for the passenger side window on a 2002 Escalade?

I ask because I think I need to replace them on my front passenger side window. It doesn't go up and down anymore, and I hear the relay clicking. I don't think the glass jumped the track.

Anyone have any info on this? Another little thing to the Cadi! Darn it....!

Ok, found a little more info. Seems that 2 things can be wrong; motor or the regualtor. How can you check if its the motor? That seems to be A LOT easier to remove than the whole regulator!

BTW- My window clicks and it is getting power 25.5 ACV.

Just got off the phone with the Cadi dealer(guy was an idiot, had no clue what a regulator was!) 27 mins later, I was giving part #'s as follows;

Since I didnt give him my VIN# he said there are alot of different combos that the 02 EXT came with. I was like, what!?

He gave me first option ?
Regulator Part #19120847 - $200.61
Motor Part #88981019 - $126.86

Second option?
One piece(regulator/motor) Part #25885879 - $202

So, how do we know which option we got in our trucks?
I have a feeling these are all wrong.
Can anyone varify this?

I would think you should have 12 volt dc not 25.5 acv. I would remove the door panel and measure the voltage coming out the relay or right before the window motor. If you have power then you know its the motor. Hope that helps.

I had to replace mine about 13 months ago, I purchased one of the aftermarket motor and regulator kits for like $50. Not worth it, right after the 1 year warrenty the cable for the regulator frayed and snapped.

Ra0035, just out of curiosity was that hard to replace? Can you tell me how to do it?

Had to remove mine a couple times on my 02, glass was broken when I purchased the truck and sumone tried to roll the window up, the guides went off the track. Only 6 bolts to remove motor and 2 rail assemblies, very easy job, can take a pic of the door panel if you want.

How do you get the door panel off? I've been trying to figure it out all day.

There's a couple screws to remove close to the inner door handle, than the panel slides upwards to remove it (also need to remove the trim panel where the side mirror mount is. Its pretty easy to jump the electric motor with a battery, that will tell you if your problem is there or in the switch.
