I joined this forum a few months ago, but never posted anything since I hadn't gotten the car yet. Now that she's officially mine, I just wanted to say hi!
My grandmother always wanted me to have her 1967 DeVille convertible, and she signed the title over to me before she passed away a couple of years ago. Unfortunately, my house's garage isn't deep enough to fit, so I left the car with in my grandfather's garage until I figured out what to do with it. But now, after his passing last year, it forced the issue as my uncle works to fix up and sell the house.
Until I figure out something more permanent, my neighbor across the street is going to rent his extra-long garage to me, so she won't be outside for very long. Don't worry! :)
She runs pretty well, but I'm having the family mechanic give her a once-over while I came back home to get her insured and registered, and I'm heading back to my mom's place tomorrow to put the plates on. I've never driven anything that large before (except maybe the UHaul I used when I moved into my house); my friends keep telling me I'll need tugboats to help me park ;)
I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions when I start cleaning her up. I'll do my best to use the search function before I post any of them, though :D
