i have a 94 eldo. the oil sending housing has 2 O-Rings in side....
the dealer sold me 1s that were 2 big and were a soft rubber O-Ring...
mine are about 7/8 outside diameter and made of a hard plastic O-Ring
so i had him order more to see if he had the wrong part.....and the same 1s came in(way 2 big 4 my car)... :rant2:

Mine was leaking at the same spot so I went to Harbor Freight and bought their O-Ring set sold in a bulk of about 20 different O-Rings and about 100 in quantity. I cost me about $5 and I was able to find an O-Ring from the set that matched. When you tighten down the fitting, make sure you don't over tighten.

He might be giving you the o-rings for the lines, not the oil filter adapter to block interface.
The oil filter adapter to block o-rings on my '97 were round in profile, rubber like and around 7/8" in diameter. Maybe the ones on your engine became hardened over time?

being old my guess would be they sould be brittle (salty winters) not hard...
thinking these gaskets were molded this way...
why would the dealer part be bigger ?
but worse case i guess i try this again

What color are they and how many bolts did you remove to get the housing off the car. Did you have to remove 2 lines?

i hope to see them tomorrow....
