Ha! "You got 17 right out of 18". The one I missed was a small block Chevy (I accidentally hit Pontiac). Damnit!

12/18 for me. Not bad considering many of these engines were made long before I was born.

I guessed a few, but by some process of elimination, I swear, I got them all correct. (Could have probably used up all my luck on this one; damn, wish I could have transferred a little to the next lottery jackpot LOL) Thanks 'sub', that was fun.

Im terrible with engines before about 1980... In fact, most cars before then (with the exception of old Caddies) are of little interest to me.

I'm one of the few people who believes there's plenty to get excited about from the last 30 years during which I actually existed.

I got 11 because I don't care about Ford or Mopar.
The GM ones were all easy except some of the really old ones.
The 409 was a no brainer as was it's cousin.
I had to guess at the others mostly.

Let's see one of these with engines made after 1980, including foreign and imports.

Screw that game. I was 0 for 11 when I gave up. :banghead: (we need a smiley for pissed off)

Give me a game that shows me a headlight or a taillight and I'll be a much happier camper.

Give me one that shows the PCV valve and I'd do much better.

I didn't really do much better. In a way it pisses me off and in a way it doesn't. I mean these engines come right out of amazing classic cars, and a few (Mopar 318, Ford 302, Chevy Small block etc) are still used today or recently. On the same token however, I know a shitcrapton about TVs and electronics but if you showed me a picture tube from 1954 I couldnt tell you if it came out of an RCA or a Crosley.

I enjoy watching Barrett-Jackson because I love to see the frenzy over these once average cars and learn about them, but not because I'm particularly interested in them like the baby boomers buying them are.

I honestly only missed one... which was one of the Pontiacs.

Some of them were easy like the Chevy 454, the Buick Nailhead, the Ford Y-block, and the Olds 455, the Chrysler Wedge..... most of the others were just commons sense or process of elimination, such as the Ford flathead, the Cadillac, and most of the Mopars... and a couple of the Chevy ones were lucky guesses.

Cool quiz though... Kudos

14/18 for me. Not too shabby since I wouldn't know a Ford engine from Adam (not Adam as in AMGoff; Adam as in Garden of Eden).

Missed the Cadillac and one of the Hemis, but got the Buick Nailhead (easy), 409, small-block (easy since I own one) and big-block Chevys, 455 Olds (lucky guess) and Mopar Wedge.

18/18 I surprised myself. I don't like Mopars but they were easy.

17/18. Missed one because I thought it was easy and goofed. I remember many of these engines! I was waiting for the Buick motor to show up.
